Kauai – Visiting Waimea Canyon

Waimea Canyon is described as “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific.” While it’s not anywhere near as large or old as its Arizona counter-part, you’ll be hard-pressed to find anything like this amazing naturally occurring phenomenon  in Hawaii. Stretching 14 miles long, 1 mile wide and more than 3,600 feet deep, the view from the top provides gorgeous of the surrounding areas you have to see to believe.

Kauai – Polihale Beach Park

Polihale State Park is a great location if you’re looking for a place with less people. The beach is accessed via a rough, five mile road. The road is so rough, you’ll want to make sure you’re using a 4-wheel drive vehicle, sedans beware! Once you’ve arrived, you’ll be greeted with breath-taking views and serenity not found on some beaches around the islands.

Please note that venturing on this road with a rental car will violate your rental agreement.
