Father’s Day is coming up on June 18th, and in case you find your family visiting Maui on this date, we have assembled a list of great ideas for a gift for dad.  And, if you aren’t on Maui for Father’s Day, the best gift of all could be a surprise trip to Hawaii!  We have some great specials going on right now on our collection of Maui and Kauai condos.

Golf Courses: Whether you golf every week, year, or decade, Maui does have some beautiful courses that every golfer is bound to enjoy. The Plantation Course at Kapalua has been hosting the first PGA event of the year for decades and would surely be a treat to play for the golf enthusiast.  Choose from three beautiful courses at the Wailea Golf Club that are all crafted for different skillsets and experiences.  The public course at Waiehu is a hidden gem that many tourists do not know about.  Golf oceanfront holes at a fraction of the price of most Hawaii courses.  This course has to be one of the best golf deals in America.

Breweries:  Sometimes the best gift is just a relaxing day with no responsibilities.  A beer in your hand can make that day even better.  The Maui Brewing Company has two locations on Maui (Kahana and Kihei), and is a superb option for trying locally-brewed beer.  There is also a brewery tour complete with tasting afterwards!  Another new brewery (much smaller in scale) is Kohola Brewery located out in Lahaina.  Swing by the large garage for some great beers and unique Maui experience.

Steak Dinner: There are a bunch of top-notch options for a tasty steak on Maui.  On the south side of the island there is Ruth Chris the Shops at Wailea. The Four Seasons in Wailea has DUO, named after its attention to both steak and seafood. Other options around the island include the Makawao Steak House, located upcountry, or Black Rock Steak and Seafood located in the Sheraton Maui in Kaanapali.  All these options are sure to be packed on Father’s Day, so we would recommend calling beforehand for reservations.

Clay Shooting Range: Did you know Maui has a shooting range with top-notch clay disc launchers that can be set to mimic the flight of many different types of birds?  The range is open seven days a week (by reservation only) and can be quite a fun and unusual treat for Father’s Day!

Maui Raceway Park: Auto enthusiast flock to Maui Raceway Park whenever there is an event scheduled (which is about 10 times a year).  Watch customized cars, trucks, and motorcycles test their acceleration powers on this old abandoned airport runway that is lit up at night.  There isn’t a race scheduled for June 18th, but the following weekend is Memorial Day Weekend, and there is a huge even planned. Entry to the race events usually costs between $5 -$10 and will surely please anyone who has a need for speed.
